27.05.23 | TEWIN, HERTFORDSHIRE
We're really excited to have you join us to celebrate our marriage. Here on our website you'll be able to find out more details about the day, let us know if you can come, and more practical details like travel and timings.
…
The wedding ceremony will begin promptly at 1pm so please aim to arrive a little earlier. Parking is limited at the church, so please consider car sharing or walking from Tewinbury Farm (see walking route above).
We kindly ask that photographs and videos are not taken at any point during the service - please wait until we have exited the church before taking some snaps!
Come and join us for some nibbles and a glass of something fizzy to toast our newly married status. Weather-permitting the drinks reception will be held outside, so bring your sunnies!
Let the feast commence! Please let us know of any dietary requirements when completing your RSVP card. Speeches will follow the meal, then there will be a little downtime to grab a drink and chill out before the evening reception.
It's party time 🎉 Cake cutting and the first dance at 7.50pm, followed by dancing, tasty treats and live entertainment. Bring your dancing shoes!
Wave us off as we start our married life! If you require a taxi, please consider booking one in advance (see details below).
Tewinbury Farm (AL6 0JB - what3words: yarn.usage.kings) can be found on the B1000 between Hertford and Welwyn.
There is plenty of parking available on site. Parking is limited at the church, so please consider car sharing or walking from Tewinbury Farm (see walking route above).
The nearest stations to Tewin are Welwyn North, Welwyn Garden City (both East Coast Main Line services between King's Cross and Cambridge), Hertford North (Great Northern service between Moorgate and Stevenage) and Hertford East (Greater Anglia service from London Liverpool Street).
Taxis from any of these stations will take 5-10 minutes to reach either St. Peter's Church (AL6 0JN) or Tewinbury Farm (AL6 0JB).
If you need to book a taxi home, we advise doing so in advance of the wedding. There are several taxi firms based in Welwyn and Hertford, including:
If you need somewhere to rest your head after the celebrations, here are a few hotels local to the reception venue:
While your presence at our wedding is more than enough, if you would like to send us a gift please check out the information below.
While we already have a home together, we've chosen a few bits and pieces from John Lewis which can be found at the link below.
Once we have a house, we'd love to start growing our family and adopt a Golden Retriever (we've already picked out his name - Waffle! 🐾).
If you'd like to contribute to the Waffle Fund, and in turn sign up for regular "pupdates", visit the link below.
We'll be flying off to Singapore and Bali for our Honeymoon! If you'd like to contribute to our honeymoon fund, please do so via the link below.
Parking is limited at the church, so please consider car sharing or walking from Tewinbury Farm (AL6 0JB), where there is plenty of parking. The walking route from the farm to the church is along an unpaved path which takes around 5-10 minutes at a leisurely pace.
The walking route will be signposted from the car park and is marked on the map above. You may also encounter some farmyard critters along the way, but don't worry - they're all safely fenced in!
While we'd love for you to be at our wedding, if you're not feeling well then we ask that you refrain from attending as some of our guests are elderly or have weakened immune systems.
St. Peter's Church is over 900 years old, so facilities are somewhat limited. There is a single public toilet available on site.
The reception venue is fully accessible with male, female and disabled toilets. Alongside welcome drinks and wine with the meal, the bar will be open from 2pm until midnight for you to purchase additional refreshments.
We kindly request that no photos or videos are taken during the service.
Once we have left the church, you are more than welcome to take photos and videos for the rest of the day, but please allow our photographer to do her job - we'd much rather see your smiling faces than your phone!
If you'd like to share any photos on social media, our hashtag is #tohaveandtoholdway
Of course! Any dietary requirements (e.g. vegetarian, gluten intolerance, allergies etc.) have been noted as per your RSVP.
If you have any questions for us, please email [email protected] and we'll get back to you as soon as we can.
